My husband videoed her attack and we took it in to the vet. The vet said that helped a great deal to see a whole attack in motion. He said it ruled out reversed sneeze. Now, he still was not sure what it was?! But he mentioned the possibilities mentioned on this thread - allergies, CT, infection.
He started Tussagon w the Clavamox w restricted activity. We are finally cough free!! (knock on wood!) He told us to watch if it happens again if we are around grass mowing.
