My little girl loves everyone! She is my little attention hog and needs everyone to acknowledge her or she will whine and cry. All the kids that approached her have asked but she is really good with kids. Their is a little cafe that I will bring her to that dogs are allowed on the patio and all the kids that come up ask before they pet. And about 60% of those kids I know from when I worked at their school so I usually have no problem with the kids. It is the adults that come up that I worry about.
When I first got her my cousin and her toddler, Zoe, were always over and Sakura learned how to behave around little kids. Now Sakura and Zoe antagonize each other like siblings. They will steal toys from each other and Zoe will take her chew treats right from her mouth. At first I was very worried about that but Sakura has always behaved like a good puppy.
Now that my older brother now has a baby I see that Sakura still will sit by that baby and try to get her to pet her. Eva is still too young to be able to pet her but she will pat Sakura's head and squeal happily then the pats get a little harder and the Sakura will remove herself and go look for attention elsewhere. I am so happy I was able to socialize my puppy with kids and now she know how to deal with them. |
