Hi There!
I frequently travel with my dogs and I do leave them alone in hotel rooms. I think it is important to crate them though- in case housekeeping is not careful and does open the door, you don't want your little one to run out. I also always leave my cell phone number with the front desk with instructions to call with any problems. It has always worked just fine.
However, if you are really nervous you could look into having a sitter come to the room and watch them while you are gone.
What city will you be in- there may even be a YT member there.
