I noticed a huge difference when I started using the holders- because there is a slight lip they have to step over they don't go off the paper at all. Plus they couldn't tear the paper, and the paper wouldn't blow away if it was windy or they were running around.
I did switch to washables now so I don't use the holders anymore- I wish they had a holder for the washables.
