We are about 2 hours northeast of Joplin and some of my fellow nurses and a few physicians from my hospital have gone to try to help. The fatality count is now up to 116 and I'm sure will climb higher. Please keep praying for the people of Joplin and their families, this was huge!! I don't know for sure but I've heard from a pretty reliable source that every patient in the ICU was killed - I'm sure the nurses working there were too. These poor people will need lots of time to recover and try to heal. My prayers are with all of them and I hope my fellow healthcare workers can bring some relief to the injured and heartsick people.
