Hi, First off I am glad to hear I am not the only new doggie owner! Also I wanted to respond to your fears about the aniethesia. The breeder I purchased my Chloe (female yorkie) from made certain I heard her & had me repeat "Only use gas on a Yorkie! Do NEVER use an injectable aniesthsia" It is more expensive to do certain pre-surgery lab workups & blood testing, also for the gas vs. injectable but after speaking to my vet & repeating what the breeder told me she agreed on this issue. However, I am not sure if it has to due to mine being only 3 lbs3oz. and a female or not. They both also suggested the laser surgery level one. Chloe is almost 7 months old, and is due for her ovariohysterectomy surgery in the near future. I also opted on paying $15. extra for a respiratory/cardiac monitor during the surgery. Again I am not sure if female vs male applies..... Good luck on the surgery (scarey - isn't it?)
