I am seriously thinking about getting one since I found out I can get free books in the genre I like on amazon.com.

I have a few q's for anyone who has one.
1. There is one for 139 or i can get one 25 $ less if i allow "special offers". dh sd to pay the extra 25, that i would hate the commercials. Anyone have the one with the offers and if so how bad are they? Do they get annoying or in the way.

2. Is it worth it? I am an avid book reader. I sometimes read a harlequin romance in a couple of hrs. I get them at the used book store for .80 each. I wind up spending about $ 20 at the book store every 2 wks. I can not afford books at like borders and such. Newer books are a lot more even in the used books store.

3. I read mostly in bed at night with a lamp behind me. would it be easy to read in this situation?

Overall opinions: I have decided it would be the kindle over the competition.
want to order asap.
