Pain drugs can be used to keep her comfortable. Again, can't tell you what to use.
If the bloating continues, an xray will be needed.
i'd say call one of the techs, but they should not be directing you to give drugs either, so that may not do much good. Sometimes ER vets will give adivce over the phone. You could try that.
On very rare occasions, small dogs actual get gastric GDV (true bloat). the ymptoms would almost certainly be much worse than this. But because it's still theoretcially possible that she is bloating up, that's a slight concern. If it has continued, I'd just call the ER and see if they will advise. But please don't be toooo worried. |
I am in a very rural area and there aren't any ER vets.

My vet lives about literally 2 minutes from me and is very close to all of my family. They will be home probably by 9ish and I will call him tonight. Thanks for your help. I really don't think it is an emergency, I just worry about every little thing. If Bogie wasn't sick now too I would probably be stressing even more. He started just like she did yesterday with throwing up.
