What I have seen some people who rehome their unaltered dogs do and it seems like a great setup- is to find the perfect home and then arrange the spay with a vet of their choosing- you can drop the pup off at the vet, then they pick up the pup and pay for the spay- this way you know they are responsible and that the pup is getting altered. Plus no money has to change hands.
