I think you are smart to get a second opinion. I'm not sure which blood/liver studies the vet did to come to that diagnosis. There was someone who posted w exp with Cushing's in dogs (that did come to my mind as well). I would get a second opinion too. (Maybe you would want to PM that poster too just to hear how her pup was treated for liver disease.)
