Congratulations on your new baby girl. I am the Mommy to Lolita, who holds steady at 3.8 pounds and is now 5 years old. We regularly give her Nutri-cal or Nutri-stat as a supplement and find that feeding her small meals throughtout the day help to regulate her sugar levels. She has had fits where we gets tummy rumbles, she acts uncomfortable and doesn't want to be touched...we know right away that it is her sugar dropping and that she needs either Nutri-cal or, as your vet suggested, karo. It can sometimes be daunting, but as you get to know your new little girl and her behaviors better, you will be able to anticipate these episodes and keep her healthy and happy.
