I need some suggestions on what others use for a heartworm preventative?
Where I live their are not any mosquitoes , but this is scary to me, I do not want to take a chance for any of my 2small dogs to get heartworm. Flies are more of a problem then any other type of Bugs. Their is no pools or standing water where I live either. But I still want to protect them from this deadly illness. What is the safest meds? One that is for dogs under 10 pounds ? I have not ever evenhad problems with fleas either. my 2 are 2, and 3 years old.
