Alomst every cat I've ever had did at least the "kneeding" part and my mom's cat too still "suckles" on this one particular blanket and he's a yr. old. I've read that it releases "feel good" endorphins (sp?) and that's why they seem to get in that "trance" like state when they do it (well, that's what I read about cats anyway) I've never seen a dog do it though, I'm sure it does have something to do with having to leave mom so early. Very cute though
My Main Coon would kneed and pur. She would curl up next to my head and kneed my head/hair while purring.
