Thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts. I would like to share with you what happened today when I was making the final arrangements. We were at the funeral home discussing the wake and funeral mass, when the funeral director called my pastor. My pastor kept asking Mr. Kalas questions, and so he suggested that Father talk to me directly. He then handled me the phone. And then it hit me, my sister was especially close to Lacey, and when I told Father what happened, he said, "and what kind of sign do you think that was?" "That Lacey died within hours of your sister, and she was a healthy dog with no health problems." "Your sister took Lacey to let you know that she is "okay" and not to worry. She is at peace. I asked Father if he thought it would be okay to bury Lacey in the casket with Pauline. He said that would be no problem, and the funeral director agreed. He told me that when I bring her clothes up to the funeral home tomorrow, to bring "my little baby," and they will place her in the casket with my sister. This gives me so much comfort. My sister who dearly loved Lacey will not be alone, and Lacey will not be in the cold ground by herself. I know some folks will think this is a little unorthadox, but I can think of no good reason why a perfectly healthy dog would die so suddenly on the very day that my sister passed away. And so both of them have passed to Rainbow Ridge together and will be waiting for me when my time comes. My sister loved animals, and in the past few years she was unable to have pets because of her health, so now she will have my wonderful little Lacey for all eternity. God bless you all and thank you for being here for me. Keep little Biscuit in your thoughts, as he misses his little sister terribly. When I figure out how to download pictures, I will post a pix of Lacey.
