I got to thinking....I have been giving her cottage cheese instead of yogurt for the last couple of days, which I'm sure hasn't helped. I got more yogurt today, so no more cottage cheese.

Thanks Bonny, I will try the green beans. I hope she likes them more than the pumpkin.

Being a total novice dog owner, it's nice to know I can come here for advice....thanks everyone!!
I forgot to say - welcome to YT!

You'll want to start off with a mixture of about 25% new/75% old food for the first couple of days. Then up it to a 50%/50% mixture for a couple more days and finally a 75%/25% mix until she's fully adjusted to the change.

Be careful with dairy products - most dogs are lactose intolerant and don't handle dairy well. Also, what kind of yogurt are you giving her? Some types are just fine but others can be very bad for them.

I know, it seems like a lot to learn all at once! I've been owned by yorkies for 15+ years and I'm still always learning something new about them.

My babies will eat pumpkin but they much prefer green beans. I hope it works for your little one, too. Oh, and you might try sweet potatoes instead of the pumpkin. It's high in fiber and some pups prefer the taste over pumpkin. Remember, only give her a teaspoon or so because she's still so little and young - it doesn't take much.
