I got Teddy groomed at 4 1/2 months...he was definitely shaggy looking. I told the groomer I liked his puppy coat and wasn't ready to part with it. So he just cleaned up his face and legs, trimmed his body a little bit, tipped his ears and of course gave him a sanitary cut. He still very much looks like a puppy. Just find a groomer that knows the breed. My groomer owns a yorkie himself so he understood what I wanted. Make sure you tell the groomer exactly what you want.
