I would always say, "no bite, get a toy", trying to teach her that if she wanted to play, biting hands was not appropriate but she can bring a ball or toy over and I will play then. That worked well for me, it didn't take long to stop it at all.
However, this second pup I got was older and from a reputable breeder. It really proved the exp dog people and breeders on this site right, she came to me knowing not to bite hands - their mothers teach them not to bite when they play. |
