They are SOOOOOO gross! I am always feeling my scalp for them since my dogs DO go out and they do sleep in our bed. I found a dead one in the bed last week and I found a live one crawling on my arm the other night. YUCK YUCK YUCK!!! I use frontline on the dogs and luckily that seems to work, plus we mow the grass low which helps too. There are no trees in the yard the dogs go into either and only 1 bush in the corner they don't really go near. But yeah ticks are NASTY!
Hope your hubby is ok! I know here in NH they say more than 50% of ticks now have Lymes.
