I had mine trimmed when they were little, especially the foot pads so they would not get sore. I've never heard how short a cut would affect the yorkie's color. I brush mine every day so I keep them long as well. But, there is a little layering cut done with Chloe that keeps her cottony coat from looking like she has a bad hair day every day that I like. It kind of keeps the sides slim looking. Lacey has very thin, smooth, fine hair, so she just gets the trims needed. |
