Yep I agree, just keep doing what you're doing. Our Akita gets a bit "nervous" when I'm reaching into her kennel for something or cleaning it, she never bites or growls or does anything about it, but she does watch me and will run into it when I'm done (guess she doesn't want me messing up her stuff LOL). Anyway, you do have to correct the nipping and sounds like you're on the right track, but I would say it's normal behavior and he'll learn to trust you more too in time. Just keep up the good work
