Please! Do NOT cut the mats! Let the groomer do it, I can't tell you how many dogs and cats I've seen come in with cuts and wounds from well meaning owners cutting mats. The skin gets caught up in the mats and you can't even see it most of the time. The groomers are trained professionals, they can get them out for you, yur pup will thank you for it
