I know what you mean about vet weigh in surprises... my little Marley was 8 1/2 # at rescue... Vet said "no porkie yorkies". Hold him at that weight. Then, I weighed him on Saturday and he was 9 1/2 #!! Uh oh... he had a stomach upset a while back and I was cooking him chicken and rice... need to get back to the dry Canin. He loves his food, but his knees don't need the weight.
