The new guy is kind of at a disadvantage because he is in a new territory while your dog is used to his surroundings. It would take several days to tell how the the personalities are going to be. Personalities will change as they mature as well. You just need to know if you are up to the challenge of training two. My baby is almost a year old now and I kind of wish I had purchased her sister with her. She is such an alpha dog at this age I don't know how she would do with a new pup now.
If your sure you want two I would do it now so they can grow up together and be suited to each other. Once the new one gets used to his surroundings he may take over the place. You just can't tell with one days experience.
