Hi and welcome to YT and to the world of Yorkie's. You are wise to just train your baby to a negative sound and alternative plaything. Your best friend with any new puppy are any articles and books you can read(many here in our Library section) on positive-reward obedience training and behavior modification. This will train your baby to learn to focus on you, look to you only for leadership, learn impulse control and learn to listen and obey what you say. It keeps their minds busy and you really, really bond in the process. It will buy you a lot of fun, a great well-behaved but fun-loving dog and a lifetime of pleasant companionship rather than some of the horror stories you hear about. Love, nothing but positive rewards, persistence and patience in the training process keeps your dog happily and proudly involved in his training and you - and if he is like my Tibbe, he will always love the working, training part of your relationship. Best wishes to you and your new one!
