That's definitely not a soft coat. (that's what the exhibitors call the cottony coat) Her hair is too thin to be soft/cottony. I think the name is confusing since we feel a soft texture, but the proper name means something else. I was confused as well at first, but it kind makes sense to me now.

A soft coat is too thick and heavy to stand up straight to create a mohawk. I think you might have a mixture of both, or what people call a modified coat.

Maybe a picture can help? I'll try to find a good picture of Kaji's thick, soft (cottony) head hair.
