What you described doesn't sound like a soft coat on her head (cotton). A soft coat is really thick all over. Kaji's a soft coated dog and the hair on his head is thick, but straighter and a lot more manageable. His body is another story. It is still thick, but it's a lot curlier. He matts pretty quickly if his hair is long.
