Re: ears: I would start shaving them now...see if they eventually stand on their own (you may not need to tape) --- just be sure and use a "trimmer" (like a battery operated mustache trimmer) not a full fledge set of dog clippers...as you'll take off an ear with those. I shaved mine weekly, two of three needed taping (IMO), the one never did.
