When mine are puppies, I work with them using their food and their treats.
I pick them up and we play with them. I always give them back. You will just need to constantly work with him. There is probably a reason why he is aggressive that you will never know. Just get down on the floor and offer him bites of his food, pick up his plate, all the while making a game out of it, so that he doesn't feel threatened that you are trying to take his food. Play with his treats. Make up a game and shoot them across the floor. You want to reinforce that you are not a threat when it comes to his food or treats.
