MY Laci is not a fan of larger dogs either, she will growl a bit and then hide.
As for small children, she does NOT Like if they run up and approach her , she did snap once , but we were at the park and a little boy around 5 charged at her and stuck his hand right in her face, even I didnt have time to respond.
I do have a friend with a 3 and 4 year old and if they are at my house she will not growl or anything, she just goes upstairs and hides. They move to quickly , run around etc.
She is fine when my daughters ( teenager) friends are here, infact she wants to part of what ever they are doing.
