He does sound very set in his ways and unwilling to change which I couldn't handle. But he does make some very good points.

There aren't many factories that produce it. A lot of it is manufactured at Diamond which has a concerning history.
Fronline is great; however, it is starting to lsoe effectiveness.
There is a new strain of heartworm around the MS area and one of the preventatives seen to do a better job with it (tested in the lab). That would be the one that your pup is on. Not saying everyone should switch, but that may be the reason behind why he is using it.
I'd say get a second opinino if you're not happy.
