Thyroid, various blood tests, all were thankfully negative. My vet does feel that she might have colitis, or a very slight case of pancreatitis, but nothing was ever confirmed. What we do know for sure is that she is vomiting clear bile, mixed with undigested food on a regular basis. At times it looks like pure water.
We are working on two separate issues, or at least that is what I was told. She is overweight to some degree, for her frame, yet she seems to vomit more than she eats. We have added a few new foods in recent weeks if not months but she did seem to handle them pretty well. We would ween her off old food for week, and then add a new food, wait at least three days and possibly add another. We do the same as I did for my human babies. Making sure that her stomach will agree with the new foods.
I am extremely worried about her this evening. She had vomited more than we have ever seen, over the past few hours. My vet is not in.. the emergency is, but I am not too thrilled about that office and to be honest they charge an absolute fortune. Obviously if it is necessary and she continues this over the next couple of hours or seems lethargic. we will take her.
I was wondering if anyone has gone through this. I must admit that over the past couple of years.. she is almost 3 1/2 it seems to be getting worse. I have asked my vet on many occasions for the best food/diet.. and was told to put her on Eukanuba Optimum weight loss.. I never saw any results. We have now changed her to Wellness.. does anyone else use it? I have now heard that it might be too rich for her, aside the fact that the kibbles are huge. She is on Wellness lite.
If you do have experience with continuous vomiting, please contact me. It always seems that when we feel we must start taking all of the tests again, she stops vomiting for a week or so. Any advice would be appreciated. My teenage daughters are extremely upset tonight and would like to be able to console them. We did research it on sevearl sites, but there weren't too many answers.
Sorry, as usual, for my longwinded questions. Thanks you for all of your help. We wish all of you a very Happy and Healthy New Year.

My 4yr old yorkie Robbie has had a major problem with his tummy from about 12 month's it started with vomiting and the run's after several episodes of being hospitalized the vet said he had a form of colitus he was put on a diet of Royal Canin sensitivity control (it is in a can ) and MetronidazoleTablets 1/4 of 200mg. This seemed to help but we could not give any tip bits or he would flare up again. When he came off the metronidazole he had a flare up so was put back on this kept him well for about a year along with still keeping him on a strict diet, as we nearly lost him several times this was not a problem being strict with his diet.
In August this year he started vomiting but no runs, he could be sick a dozen times a day bringing up his food and then yellow bile he went from 3 1/2kg to 2kg in a very short time he spent a week at the vets had a biopsy opperation and spent days on a iv, again was put down to his colitus. He is on tablets daily:-
Metronidazole, Prednicare( steriod) and just started a new one called imuran.
He is still sick most days but only once or twice, the new tablets we are hopeing he will have more sick free day's.
His diet was changed to Hills prescription z/d kibble diet he was on that for a couple of month to rest his tummy he now has that with Royal canin and a little fresh chicken as a treat. His weight is around 2.5kg and his hair is very thin he sleeps a lot but seem a lot happier.
My vet has been very good with Robbie and when we are not at the vets which is most weeks she will phone to see how he is doing. Thank goodness for pet insurance as my bill to date since August is £3000. With all Robbie's problems he is such a good dog and seems to understand we are trying to help him.
When Rob was at his worst the vet advised trying to rest his tummy no food for twelve hours only water and then use a baby blender to blend cooked chicken and small amount of rice so it was smooth for his tummy to digest this helped a little.
Hope this helps and Reese gets better soon good luck.
