Yeah. My Lucy used to do the same thing when she was a puppy. She would eat Ringo's poop OR play with it.
YUCK.
But she did eventually grow out of it.
NOW, however, she is OCD about the goose poop we encounter on our walks. She would eat it if I gave her the opportunity! My sweet, dainty little Lucy! Doesn't seem possible.
