Actually, I think you could have called animal control in your state and report the animal neglect, and you probably could have taken them to small claims court since they sold you a pregnant dog, told you it was a false pregnancy when you contacted them about it - ?fraud?
I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think it's illegal at all. In fact, I think you are right - If you wanted to be a pain to them, you could have. They should thank you for being so kind to them and to the animal they supposedly "loved". You paid for vet bills they were obviously not willling to pay for, plus you did not demand your money back when you found out you were sold a pregnant/neglected dog. |
