Thanks for all the replies. I have one more question. I understand that young pups go to their new homes at around 12 weeks. What is a downside, if any, to bringing home a slightly older dog. Lets say 6-8 months? I really don't see any problems with this but want to see if I am missing something. I always told my wife that we could have as many kids as she wants as long as they show up at home at the age of 2, this is kinda similar
