I've heard a lot of people recommend Oster on here and that's what I got. It's for pets, from Walmart & was on sale for $25, I think regular $32. Came with an adjustable blade, 5 guards, dog brush, comb, barrettes, blade oil.
I've used it a few times for her shorter cuts & love it. I'm letting it grow a little more now, so I'm not sure of how it will work "trimming" or if I'll even use it for that.
It's also very quiet & didn't get hot where I was uncomfortable to use it and believe me, it took me plenty of time to do it the first couple times!
