That would be my only advice too, since you're already doing everything else I can think of. He won't go potty on himself in a crate, as long as it's small enough, so then you can work on just ignoring his requests. He can hold it, Alice is only 4 lbs. and 7 months old and she does no problem. she sleeps in a crate though
