I agree! I have one child and she's 22 months old. I also have a Yorkie less than 2lbs. The are both supervised and my daughter has learned from the start that it is not a toy and how to properly pet her etc.

Not all small children are the monsters some of you make them out to be. Principles and beginnings start with the adult in the home. Some childless people should never own a pet themselves (big or small). Just hate when ALL kids are lump summed into a category. My child and I deserve to own and love a pet of whichever breed we choose. we are great people and make our pets happy and my child will grow up knowing how to adequately care for and treat a fur family member.

Just my opinion and personal feelings.

OP muchuck to you and your families search for a Yorkie!
