I love the Honda Element and looked at them before getting my Patriot. It was more expensive, so Patriot won.

I heard they are discontinuing the Element -- so sad. I wanted one someday.

Oh and you actually can get a 4WD Patriot, it just costs more. But mine is definitely a very soft ride, as you said. Other people who have driven always love the way it drives.

I like the Wranglers but I'd never have one as my #1 vehicle. I consider them "fun cars" hehe... they are run to go to the beach in and stuff but I find them all to be an uncomfortable ride and very bouncy and bumpy. Plus they flip so easy I've heard, it would scare me.
