I would like to block off my dining area so that my baby can have the entire dining room during the day while I'm at work. The problem I'm having is the entrance from my dining to living area is probably 10 feet wide and the entrance from the dining room to the kitchen is probably 3 feet but it's not a doorway, it's the end of an island bar and 3 feet over is my refrigerator. So a baby gate is not fastenable there because the island and the wall and refrigerator is not lined up.

There has to be something large enough or some kind of something that I can block these two areas off so he would have freedom.

I can't remember the post, but someone on this site had what looked like a wooden bicycle rack (can't explain it) that just sat on the floor on a stand, it was almost like a gate and I believe this person said they made it.

I'm sorry for rambling, just don't know how to describe it.
