Many years ago I had a 2 1/2lb female poodle. She went through this only once. We simply waited for her to go ourside and over a period of several days took a pretend baby one at a time. I made a point of spending more time with her especially after the last pretend baby was gone. I changed her bedding and anything that she had been using for a nest went a way for a very long time.
I dont know if this was the recommended thing to do,but it worked and her pretend babies never returned.
