I tried the litter box approach when we first got my now 2 1/2 year old Bevo....He just never did well, so we switched to potty pads...IMO, much easier to train AND clean up!! We also have the "patch of grass thing"...He poos on it, but our little one (11 weeks) prefers to go there all the time...would NOT suggest those, because they are not fun to clean!!! Good Luck!!
