So he vomited the little bit of food he ate today or was it yellow and foamy? Worms don't typically cause vomiting, but if the dog is really heavily infested with them for a long time it can for sure lead to that. What did you see in the poop?

Since he's one yr. old, I wouldn't be too worried, especially since you're going to the vet tomorrow - take a stool sample with you. Is he drinking water today and keeping that down? If he's drinking and keeping that down, you can try feeding him a little bit of food in about an hour if it was food he vomited up. If it was yellow and foamy, feed him a small amount of food now, and if he keeps it down, a small amount about an hour later. As long as he's acting otherwise normal, it may just be some nervousness from the adjustment of moving to a new home and a new owner. Also, is the food different than what he was eating at the previous owner? That can cause a bit of digestive upset too, usually diarrhea more so than vomiting though.
