Tila went to the vet, because she was chewing at her feet and she had chewed her tail and had a bald spot on it. Then I noticed beside her nose she had a tiny bald spot. She had been rubbing her face. The vet thinks it may be an allergy. Her one toe was a little infected from the chewing and licking. She put her on steroids for the itching for 8 days and antibiotics for 14 days. They're also ordering in some Acana for me. Tila was originally on Acana, but the pet and feed store ran out and they haven't gotten any in yet. My parents bought me a bag of Summit dog food, the lady at the pet and feed store said it was just as good as Acana, but looking at the ingredients I don't think so. I feel terrible. The vet said to see how it goes with the food switch and medicine. if it doesn't clear up she wants to do tests. I can't believe she has little bald spots.
