 Licking inside of mouth?
I've done some reading but I didn't have much luck finding the right situation for it. So I was hoping someone here might have an insight.
Magnus (1.5 years old) is a male yorkie (I think he's a mix, don't know with what) and he's about 11-12 lbs. He's my first baby.
Zoey (6 months old) is a pure female yorkie and is about 3-3.5 lbs. I got her about 4 months ago.
I've seen Magnus "groom" Zoey often if not everyday. Licks everywhere including inside her mouth. I always thought it was just a grooming thing since Zoey was so small and still a baby but I'm reading that it's a sign of submission? I do have to admit she does seem more dominant as Magnus usually laid back. But if she pushes too far, Magnus pushes back and she'd back off. So I'm not really sure if the whole licking thing is a dominance/submission thing or simply grooming. Any thoughts? |
