That comment in that situation is such a compliment to you and your relationship with your dogs. It is obvious they respect you as leader in the household in that they understood to look to you to handle the situation. They obviously could see that those people were doing something in their home that they did not necessariliy feel comfortable with or understand but saw you were not worried, in danger, upset and had the situation under control, so they relaxed. I think when our dogs are trained to look to us and not the situation for guidance, they are usually much more calm and well-behaved. Many dogs in that situation would probably bark, growl or pace all around most of the time they were working. It has got to be a better work climate when the dogs in the house are well-mannered so that the workers can do their jobs in peace!
