Lulu is pad trained and she sleeps with us, so the only time she tells us is when she is on the bed with us and needs us to let her down.... she will run all over us and lick us to wake us up to let her know she needs to get let down. One time i guess we wouldnt wake up and she jumped down to go, and woke us up by barking and whining letting us know she went and wants back on the bed!
