I kind of stumbled into having a second dog in my house after my brother and his dog moved in last year.
But honestly, after seeing how much happier Levi is with a constant playmate, I can't imagine only having one pup. I adore my brother's dog and love seeing him play and snuggle and interact with Levi. I doubt Levi will ever be an only dog again.
