A vet check is good...are the pups gaining, are they quiet and not crying....milk tends to "let down" as the pups nurse. I have seen bitches nurse a litter of 4, 5 even 7 and I never saw much milk before nursing...an if I pulled a nurisng pup off a teat, there was milk in its mouth...usually running out the corners. |
