I'm doing some researching myself to find a solution and I've read a lot about the cinnamon method. My biggest question is: would the yorkie(s) lick it all up? If so, is it harmful? Zoey's only 6 months old so she's still in that "discovery" mode where she has to try EVERYTHING at least once.

Pros and Cons of cinnamon and dogs:
Can dogs have cinnamon? I dont know if it work or not but I wouldn't want to take any chances of my dogs getting into it. If it affect them like The Cinnamon Challenge effect us humans it can not be good for our dogs either if they were to lick a large quantity of it. 
You can find videos of the The Cinnamon Challenge on line. Most that I saw had cursing so I did not post any.
Have not heard of the Orange Guard...
