I'd say blend them together so they can't pick the Acana out if the pickiness arises again. If you have to, a hard switch isn't going to kill 'em.

I'd make a dog eat wholesome food before giving them their own way. That said, SD isn't far enough down on my list of bad foods to feed something else if my dog really liked it. The ingredients may not be appealing, but it is still a good company.
